A city; a culture — in nature.
My collaboration with the Mauritius Commercial Bank spans over 10 years. As the No.1 bank in Mauritius, MCB positions itself as a leader in communications, creativity and events in the sector. Working with the Communications, Events and Digital departments along with the Group Creative Director, I am called whenever there's a major event in the bank's timeline.
Context:
Porlwi is a festival of contemporary culture held in the capital of Mauritius, Port Louis. Its purpose is manifold: the festival ignites artistic endeavours, draws Mauritians and travellers from afar, stimulates the economy, advocates for culture and carries a strong education component by tackling different facets of urban regeneration.

The need
As one of the major sponsors of the festival, MCB wanted to connect with the public on a personal level.
A prime location in one of the artistic zones was booked by the bank and a blank sheet was handed to me on what could be done.
The solution
A giant interactive wall where Mauritians would get to leave a personal message to all the attendees. Using an iPad as a capture device, photos of the public and their messages were taken, projected on a giant wall — all of which was happening live.
Over 3000 patrons got to see their messages displayed live. Their data was also captured which allowed MCB to send a text link to their personal message directly to their phone.
My job was from conception, supplier sourcing, technical team logistics, highlight video commission, on-site setup to delivery of all messages to the client.
